DocuTAP Offers Managed IT Services

Sioux Falls, S.D., February 1, 2009 – DocuTAP, a provider of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Practice Management (PM) software, is pleased to offer Managed IT Services. DocuTAP has contracted with Level One Platforms to offer proactive monitoring of customer hardware and software with real time alerting and reporting that help eliminate problems before they occur.

Managed IT Services monitors all IP based devices at a customer’s site based on industry based best-practice monitoring policies supplied by Level One Platforms, using template libraries and custom rules that are set up specifically for each customer we serve. Strong and reliable remote monitoring allows DocuTAP and our customers to be proactive and eliminate problems before they occur. 

The monitoring setup is simple with an easy-to-use auto-discovery utility coupled with pre-defined best practice management policy modules. Policies are collaboratively set up so that alerts can be routed to DocuTAP or to the customer’s IT staff with customizable issue escalation rules. Managed IT Services allows for customized monitoring based on specific devices and applications to meet individual customer business requirements.

Monitoring of all critical network components such as servers, applications, websites, network services, network devices (i.e. firewalls and routers) are all available through industry based standards and protocols (WMI, SNMP, Syslog, NetBios, ICMP, XML, etc) used widely within a typical network environment.
